About Us
The laboratory was established in October 2008 as Geotechnical Engineering Laboratory with staff members of only three people and progressed up until August 2017 when Mr Mokaloba registered the company as Civil Engineering Laboratory. Since then the laboratory has seen great success as on the 23rd January 2020 the laboratory acquired its first accreditation certificate by SADCAS, becoming the first accredited laboratory in the country. The laboratory is accredited in accordance with the recognized international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
Empowerment Initiatives
CEL is a 100 % black-owned company. When working in the field, the company augments its core team with labour and temporary staff from the surrounding villages. The approach underpins its commitment to on-going community upliftment and skills transfer.
