Core drilling
Core tests are performed to assess whether suspected concrete in a structure complies with strength based acceptance criteria. It is critically used to determine in place concrete strength in an existing structure for the evaluation of structures capacity. Cores may also be necessary when there is an absence or doubt in cube results.
TheĀ laboratory assesses:
- The quality of concrete provided to construction (potential strength)
- The quality of the concrete in construction (in-situ strength) known as actual strength
